DASHR Supports Supervised Use Sites in Denver

On behalf of the Denver Alliance for Street Health Response (DASHR) and the communities that we serve, we would like to voice our strong support for supervised use sites in Denver. DASHR is a coalition of groups working on existing response models and people who are interested in creating community based efforts to navigate harm that would otherwise be addressed by using the criminal justice system. The data has shown that supervised use sites are directly responsible for reducing disease, drug-related crime, and the harm from overdose, including death. We support the health of all of Denver’s community members and look forward to this innovative public safety response in our community.
